Once there was a cat and a dog who were best friends. They loved surprises! Surprises are funny things. Sometimes they are good and sometimes they are not so good. But you never know what kind of surprise it is until after you get it.
Mr. Poppins (the cat) and Beamka (the dog) liked good surprises.
One day they were sitting by a pond. They were very bored. They wanted to do something, but they didn't know what to do.
“Who are you?” asked Beamka.
“I'm a frog,” said the frog. “But you did not answer my question. Do you want a surprise?”
“What kind of surprise?” asked Beamka.
“I can't tell you or it will not be a surprise. But I promise I give only the BEST surprises!” answered the frog.
“How do you know so much about surprises?” asked Poppins.
“Because I give a lot of them. Believe me. I only give the best surprises.”
Then Beamka whispered to Mr. Poppins, “Should we believe him?”

Poppins answered, "A surprise is better than being bored. So let's see what his surprise is. You go first, Beamka."
The frog said, “Stop thinking about it! Just kiss me! I will give you the BEST surprise.”
So Poppins agreed to go first. When he kissed the frog, the frog jumped into the water! So poor Poppins fell into the water too and got all wet. The frog laughed and said, “SURPRISE! I told you I give the best surprises!”
