The beautiful bird

I.    You are walking to your friend's house. On the way you see an amazing bird you have never seen before. If you stop to look at the bird and listen to her sing, you will be late to your friend's house. What should you do?

     You are walking to school. On the way you see an amazing bird you have never seen before. You know if you stop to look at her and listen to her sing, you will be late to school. But you think, "Maybe I will never see such a bird again! Her song is a little miracle. It is a gift to see her. To take time to love such things is what it means to live. What makes my world rich is all the beauty around me and so I should value this gift.
    When you get to school the teacher is very angry and asks you why you are late.
